Our architects opened their design presentation with Vincent van Gogh's Almond Blossoms, a painting he connected with awakening and hope, and hope to bring that spirit into the school's graphic design.

A new school has one chance to set its tone. Almond Blossom will grow around three commitments, shaped with families, staff and students from day one.
Strong relationships, clear routines and a calm, joyful campus where children feel safe to learn.
Excellent teaching in reading, writing and math, with support for every learner, including English learners and students with disabilities.
Welcoming families in English and Spanish, sharing information early and often, and building our traditions together, including the choice of a mascot.
These pages will open as the district finalizes details. Each is labeled until it is ready.
How and when to enroll, with help in English or Spanish.
Start and dismissal times and the school year calendar.
Drop off, pick up and bus areas, with safe walking routes.
Breakfast and lunch menus and meal applications.
Programs and care options for working families.

These answers describe general plans. Official details will come from the district.
Enrollment is managed by the district. We plan to share clear, early information and offer help completing enrollment in English or Spanish.
Start and dismissal times will follow the district schedule and will be shared well before the first day, along with drop off and pick up plans.
Transportation follows district policy. The campus design includes a separate bus drop off area, and we plan to work with the district and the city on safe walking and biking routes.
English learners would receive daily language development and support in every subject. Family communication would be offered in English and Spanish, and students would have access to the counseling and mental health resources the district shares across its elementary schools.
Founding families can help shape our first traditions through a parent group, school site council, an English learner advisory committee, volunteering and community events.
